Bristol Lunchtime Planning Seminar

Friday 23rd July, 2010

CSJ Planning Consultants Ltd and Barristers from Thirty Nine Essex Street jointly hosted avery successful lunch time planning seminar on Monday 19 July 2010 in Bristol. The seminar was based around three topics - ‘Hot Cases', ‘Affordable Housing Update' and ‘Planning Policy Statements update' - and a wide variety of stakeholders and developers were invited to attend the 4 hour event.

The purpose of the event was to provide an update on planning law currently affecting the planning and development industry to invited guests.

Fran Chick, Director of CSJ Planning, said "We felt given the raft of new Government Guidance being published on a regular basis together with the push to continue to work during the current economic climate, it was important to provide aseries of informative papers to both staff and guests. We had 3 lively talks on current issues by John Pugh-Smith and Christiaan Zwart, Barristers of Thirty Nine Essex Street, and Michael Orr Director of CSJ Planning, who also chaired the event.  It was well attended and the feedback we have received has been very positive indeed".

The event, held at the new foyer of Bristol's Colston Hall, was so successful that Thirty Nine Essex Street Chambers based in London are planning to co-host another with CSJ Planning Consultants in a few months time.

Anyone who wishes to obtain papers from the seminar can do so by contacting Fran Chick at fc@csj-pl anning.co.uk
